Denise C. Johnson has been Group President of Resource Industries (RI) at Caterpillar Inc. in Deerfield, Illinois since 2016. Denise leads a large global team offering a broad product range of comprehensive solutions, services and products for mining, heavy construction, quarry and aggregates, waste and material handling customers. Complementing equipment and aftermarket offerings, RI is focused on services growth by developing technology products and services including fleet management systems, equipment management analytics and autonomous machine capabilities. Previous to Caterpillar, Denise had a 20+ year career with General Motors, where she built deep expertise in operations and product management.
David joined Champion Iron in 2014 and has been working in the iron industry and the Labrador Through for the past 15 years. He was appointed President and Chief Executive officer of Champion Iron on April 1, 2019. As Chief Operating Officer of the Company, he played a key role in the management team, delivering the successful restart of the Bloom Lake Mine by managing its construction and commissioning and building a team composed of more than 400 top mining talents. Prior to joining Champion Iron, David held senior management positions within Cliff Natural Resources Inc.
His experience in iron ore mining includes mineral characterization projects at Bloom Lake and for AccerlorMittal at Mount Wright, as well as adapting the recovery circuit to meet new customer demands in order to maximize profit margins. David is also the co-founder of the North Shore and Labrador Mineral Processing Society.

Mark Cutifani, FREng CEng FIMMM FAusIMM DBA (Hon) DoL (Hon) BE (Mining–Hons), was appointed Chief Executive of Anglo American Plc on 3 April 2013. He is a qualified mining engineer with more than 44 years of broad experience of projects, operations, marketing, business development and finance. Mark is also the Chairman of De Beers Group of Companies, a non-executive director of Total SA, and a non-Executive Director of Anglo American Platinum Limited.
Mark has considerable experience in mining, having been associated with the industry since 1976 and has a practical working knowledge of most of the commodities produced and sold across the globe. He has had line experience and responsibility for mining and industrial businesses across six continents. Prior to joining Anglo American, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at AngloGold Ashanti based in South Africa, and before that he was the Chief Operating Officer for Inco and then Vale’s global Nickel business, based in Canada. Prior to his Vale role he held senior executive positions with the Normandy Group, Sons of Gwalia, Western Mining Corporation, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines and CRA [Rio Tinto]. Mark is a mining engineer by training with several published papers and presentations. In his 44 years in operations, business development and corporate roles he has had line responsibilities across more than 30 countries, producing more than 20 commodities.

Jody Kuzenko was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer of Torex Gold in June 2020, having previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer since joining the Company in October 2018. Ms. Kuzenko is a senior mining executive with over 20 years of operational and business experience, mainly acquired at Vale (formerly Inco). After the first four years at Inco as Chief Legal Officer, Ms. Kuzenko moved to the operational side of the business where she held roles of increasing responsibility in operations management. She has a proven record of execution and leadership many areas of mining operations including refining, strategy, safety, health and environment, energy and utilities, and community, labour and government relations.
Ms. Kuzenko holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University. She is a founding Advisory Board member of the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH) at Laurentian University.
Jerrod Downey is the President of Crownsmen Partners and hosts three heavy industry series; The Crownsmen Show, Crownsmen Energy, and Mining Now. Jerrod began his career in construction, running a small home exterior and railing manufacturing company, later transitioning into business development and marketing for Savona Equipment. In 2015 he partnered with investor, childhood friend and now Crownsmen’s Executive Producer Rory Bamford to form a boutique consulting firm and in 2018 they launched The Crownsmen Show which featured some of North America’s leading equipment and technology companies. The monthly show quickly turned weekly and drew thousands of viewers every week. In 2019 they partnered with CIM/ICM to release a technology and leadership series specific to mining called Mining Now and in 2020 Crownsmen Energy was launched to focus on both the oil and renewable energy sectors. Jerrod is currently based in Vancouver, Canada with his wife Bea and between shows enjoys walking Butter their 11 pound guard dog, boxing, and planning out the next Crownsmen collaboration.
